🫶 Heart Hands arrived in 2022 and spread fast. It shows two hands making a heart shape, a gesture popularised worldwide by K-pop and now standard in photos and messages alike.

Warm and slightly more expressive than a plain heart, without being romantic.

The heart formed with both hands comes from Korean pop culture and is the big sister of the finger heart 🫰. On stage and in photographs, musicians use it to thank their audience.

Unicode adopted the gesture in 2021. It has since travelled far beyond K-pop and now reads generally as affection without romantic overtones.
