🏆 The most copied emojis

Every emoji ranking online cites the same two or three sources. This one does not: it counts what actually goes to the clipboard on SmileyZone.

Where the numbers come from

Clicking “copy” here increments a counter – one per emoji per day, nothing else. No IP address, no identifier, no session reference. That single number is what the list is built from. Counting started on 24 Aug 2026.

Still an early count. So far 264 copy actions across 29 days have come in. That is enough for a first impression, not for a reliable order – a single visitor can still move the top. The list becomes meaningful from about a thousand actions onwards.

Why “popular” is hard to measure

The well-known emoji rankings measure what appears in public posts – mostly on X and Instagram. That is a sample, not the whole: nobody sees what happens in private chats, and that is where emojis are used most.

This list measures something different and smaller: which characters people look up here and take with them. That leans towards emojis you cannot find by heart on a keyboard – a copy action is a need, not a popularity verdict. Nobody visits a website to type 😂.

To find out what a single character means, use the emoji wiki.
